London, May 9 (EFE) .- The Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al Fayed
presented in Cannes (France), a documentary about the death of Lady Di,
entitled "Unlawful Killing", coinciding with the celebration of the film
festival which begins on Wednesday.
The documentary was screened
to journalists and distributors, and Al Fayed will answer questions
from the press, reported today the British newspaper The Independent.
The
former owner of the London department store Harrods and father of Dodi
Al Fayed, who died alongside the Princess of Wales in August 1997 in a
car crash in Paris, has paid part of the film, which recounts the
circumstances of the death of Lady Di and the subsequent investigation
of the case.
Al Fayed has argued since 1997 that Diana and Dodi
were killed as a result of a conspiracy allegedly involved the British
secret service, the British royal family and the then UK Prime Minister
Tony Blair.
The shooting of the film directed by British actor
and television presenter Keith Allen concluded in March after three
years of work, where this continued as a journalist "concealed" the
judicial inquiry into the case that began in 2007.
According to
the verdict of the judges, Princess of Wales and Dodi Al Fayed died in
an accident caused by the reckless negligence of the driver of the
Mercedes in which they were traveling.
The film "shows how the
public hid vital evidence, how it is not required to provide answers the
royal family and how journalists, especially the British media,
systematically hid what was happening," said a team spokesman told The
film Independent.
