I am genuine and honest, thoughtful, caring, bright, creative, and I have a great sense of humor. want to be "pampered" by a significant other or special friend, also I do want/expect to be respected, treated as an equal, accepted for who I am and appreciated for the gifts that I have to bring to a relationship.
I do try to keep myself in reasonable condition, and I enjoy walking and gardening.
I love nature and animals. And I also enjoy road trips, taking time to stop along the way to appreciate the scenery, experience the local ambiance, meet the local people, and take photos to chronicle and remember the journey.
I'm not much of a camper, although I'm okay with short camping trips provided there are SOME amenities nearby! I generally prefer nice motels with cable TV and Internet. And I am not a hunter . . . I would much rather photograph wildlife than hunt it. But I have been known to enjoy fishing on occasion!
Having grown up in rural Kansas, I will always be a country girl at heart. Yet, I enjoy the amenities of living in or near a moderately sized city. I was raised Catholic, but am no longer practicing. My views on religion are ever-evolving.
I have children, and live away from home, I like children. . .
I have been a dog owner my entire adulthood, and currently have two beautiful greyhounds.
Music has always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, as well as playing the piano myself on occasion. During high school and college, I used to sing in groups and I loved it, but I haven't sung now for a number of years.
I love most kinds of art, and enjoy visiting art galleries and arts and craft shows. I also enjoy going out to lunch or dinner with a special friend or significant other, traveling (particularly road trips), taking photographs of the landscape, and capturing other special moments in time or scenes of nature while I have my camera (or iPhone) in hand.
