Have You Ever Wished You Were A
Shooting Star, Or Maybe Just Wanted To Be A Star Of Any
Kind?
"http://www.youtube.com/embed/DJuDw6PHy1M?rel=0" Everyone
knows what a shooting star is, don’t
they? Maybe by strict definition they do, but then there are also the kind that
shines in our night sky of life, and then burn out. Yesterday we lost another
super-star, and maybe some would argue that point, but this is my story, so we
will ignore that for the time being. Yesterday, Whitney Houston passed away and
who knows how, but that shouldn’t matter. She was a wonderful artist, a great
singer and song writer, and talented performer. She had a major effect on the
music industry and left a wonderful legacy with her music.
Too Many Shooting Stars Have Passed
Through The Sky
We have had too many shooting stars pass
through our night and burn out way too fast. Great performers all, most went by
at a young age, and burned out long before their time. Talented people like
Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy, just to name a few.
How tragic that we lose such wonderful people at such a young age, just as they
were hitting their prime. I wish there was a logical reason why these things
happen, but whether by divine intervention or some other cosmic reason, it
leaves us just a little bit poorer for not having them around.
Time Passes And So Do Shooting
Stars
As far as a shooting star goes, they
seem to come and go much too quickly, some just a brief flash in the sky. And
when it comes to time, that is one thing that no one can hang onto, or slow
down. The old saying “that time waits for no one” is the one constant truth in
this world, and the one thing you cannot cheat with and win. I loved the music
that Whitney left behind, regardless of how she lived her life or what she went
through. It makes it nonetheless tragic, and families will grieve for her, much
like anyone else’s passing. So let us all look to the better side for a bit, and
stay the negativity that the media loves so much during these times. After a
moment of silence for all that have left us much too early, enjoy these
tributes http://www.youtube.com/embed/UxK1kS_-HA4?rel=0"
to Whitney Houston, and remember the better times.
