Life can make you “BadAss”

Sometimes, life comes at you from all directions, and you have to just get “BadAss” on it.
Have you ever had one of those days when everything seems to just come at you all wrong? One of those days when life throws up those little road blocks that can make you stumble and trip all over yourself? Well that is when you have to stiffen up your back, look life right in the eye, and get “BadAss” all over it. A good example of this was observed today while I was watching my Grandson Angelo playing in his basketball game today. The team they were playing was a bit more skilled than his team was, but that didn’t stop Angelo from doing his best. Some of the players on his team are, how shall I say this, a little uncoordinated and gangly. But Angelo made sure that he gave them all a chance to make a point or two by passing the ball to them when they were open.
Then the other team got their second wind and started to really pick up their game. Some of the kids on Angelo’s team got a little frustrated that they were falling behind and lost some of that spirit they had started with, and that gave the other team even more momentum. But then the “BadAss” in Angelo kicked in and he started really playing hard and gaining some of the points back they had lost, and giving a little hope to his teammates. He played so hard that he eventually fouled out just before the game was over, which his team lost, but the point here is he didn’t give up. He rallied back with an extra effort, and thus lifted his team’s spirits, and even though they lost the game, they did it with the pride in knowing that they gave it their best.
If you never give up, if you always give it your best, and not let the little things get in your way, you will create your own “BadAss” persona. And it’s not always about winning, because it is in the losses that we learn our most valuable lessons, and they will make us stronger and smarter IF we chose to learn from them. Our ‘little’ business that we have, Empower Network, isn’t so little anymore. In little more than three months we have grown to over 16,000 members, (16,758) to be exact. And in the last 30 days, the traffic to our site has increased more than 300%, with over 800,000 page views. Now that’s “BadAss”, and this has occurred while enduring growing pains that have shut down our server, caused banks to pull out of providing us with merchant accounts, and members not being able to even log into the system at times because it was so busy.
And yet we keep growing, and we keep bringing hope to the masses and giving them a way to provide change to their lives. We remain “BadAss” through all the potholes and roadblocks that get thrown up in front of us and we never slow down. The kicker to all this is that we have a system that is so simple that even a Grandma can do it.
